
Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Brazil
PARR – Programa de Apoio para a Recolocação dos Refugiados – is a social project which was conceived in the year 2011, through dialogues that started in the Workshop on Labour and Employment for Refugees organized by the Ministry if Labour and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in February 2011 in São Paulo.
EMDOC, a legal consultancy specialized in immigration and relocation services, sought UNHCR in Brazil to draft a model project. The partnership established by EMDOC and UNHCR will have the participation of NGO's that are partners fo UNHCR to mobilize the asylum seekers and refugees interested in participate in the project, also, private companies will mobilized by EMDOC to join the project with support of UNHCR. in its pilote phase, PARR has the valuable collaboration of Cáritas Arquidiocesana of São Paulo.
Holders of a simple strategy, the framers of the project believed in creating this website, in which all interested companies will have access to candidates' resumes (refugees and asylum seekers) and will be able to contact Caritas São Paulo in order to evaluate profiles and verify the posibility of filling a job position.
We believe that we can make a difference in thousand of people's life that need an opportunity to show their skills and make the Brazilian market more promissing.
